Psychotherapist
I have ventured into 2021 with a commitment to myself to break the shackles of procrastination. As a psychotherapist, I do have an insight into this curse's mechanism, yet I cannot seem to break my own vicious circle of the big P! So I am here on this platform to seek some support to help myself. So I am open to any suggestions or support you can provide. Thank you.
Hi Misbah, I understand this is a very serious issue because i have been doing that a lot lately. Most of the times there is something going on in back of your mind, that is pulling you and stopping you from doing anything at all be that a depressive thought or a fear of some kind. I think the best way is self motivation and to figure out the actual reason of your procrastination. Only then, you can find solutions for it. You can start off with listing the things you think before doing something and then you can motivate yourself by setting little reward for yourself that will make you happy (e.g watching an episode of a season, eating chocolates, talking to someone etc). You can ask anyone at your home or any of your friend who is willing to help to ask you every hour or 2 hour about your progress that actually helps kick start the work. Starting is the hardest. Once you start doing something then it becomes easy (it takes time but it helps).

Hi All
2020 has been a year where people have been super productive or the complete opposite. Misbah you are right there we have to find the root cause before searching for solutions. I think for me, I may want to avoid doing certain tasks, so would occupy myself with other less important easier tasks in order to avoid doing the important dreaded task. To stay productive I have made efforts to not use my phone as a distraction to not get work done, by getting rid of games, Facebook and other kinds of apps. There is a great video from Patrica Bright, she has a separate channel about making money, taking care of money etc. I have uploaded her video about staying productive and a link to her channel. Also like you say you enjoy making lists, so investing in some stationary like a bullet journal, or planner so you can check off the items as they get done, its a way of holding your self accountable by making sure you get your tasks ticked off.
Increasing your productivity
STOP WASTING TIME AND PROCRASTINATING

Hey everyone. This is me Fauzia Tahir, I did Masters in Accounting and Finance in 2018 from Pakistan having almost 6 years experience in accounting and finance. Currently I am doing another Masters in International Accounting and Management from University of Siena, Italy. This is my first year here in abroad and enjoying every bit of it.
I have been associated with herDomain from last 1.5 years and I must appreciate this platform as because of this opportunity I was able to fulfil my dream to studying abroad with all of my savings from working virtually.
My journey was bit of a roller coaster but now I am wholly satisfied what I achieved in this time. I secured a 100% scholarship here ALHAMDULILLAH.
I am still working with studying and this is a real blessing for a student like me who do not possess any financial support back from the family. I am the only person responsible to earn for a family.
If anyone interested in studying in ITALY with 100% scholarship so I would be really happy to help.
Thank you.

Apparently, 2020 taught us that the most uncertain events can happen the very next second. Besides COVID'19 outbreak, many other strange things have happened since 2019. You'll be amazed to know how earth has revealed its weirdness, hit the link below:

True do you think Man had a hand in any of these events, Faiza?

True, but like climate change, people have had a direct impact on changing weather patterns, deforestation, animals becoming endangered or extinct. What are your thoughts on these issues?
Financial Consultant
Yes, I do agree to this. The events and innovations discussed in this article refers to the changes that are not in our own hands. Other issues that you have mentioned are being addressed by other entities like WWF, to conserve our planet, reducing the ecological footprint, highlighting the issue of climate change and emphasizing the importance forests and wild life. We should also join hands in overcoming these issues.

What a wonderful thought. It is easy to say to people 'get out of your comfort zone' in reality it is the most terrifying thing to do. To leave behind what is easy and comfortable and to go forward into unknown territory. If you do take those steps and keep moving forward the rewards are immense.
Fauzia Tahir
I salute to you!!!! your words are inspiring and yes growing is a sign fo success and it is to be celebrated!!!!

Great article
Faiza Gillani
this question really made me evaluate my life up to this point of typing
'It comes down to this: What are you DOING that’s making a difference?'
I have always planned the teaching style that I wanted the students to feel a difference after spending a semester in my class. Like I wanted them to either learn a new skill usually that would be Excel, report writing or presentation. Or even to realise that finance may not be their passion that they thought six months ago. I believe I have made a difference in the student's lives, and hopefully in a positive way at least. I have purchased make up etc and then feeling empty afterwards, like what to do next. But I enjoyed the seven hours it took me to build the Lego Stormtroopers Head from scratch.
Inspiring someone to try something new, or to make them believe in themselves is really a life well lived!!!

That's great! The first step toward making a difference is to motivate others to do something great.
You are building many other professions that will do wonders to the society!!

Wow, this article is super amazing, especially these lines say all about the purpose of life and happiness "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
Thanks for sharing it Faiza..😍

for such a warm welcome. Indeed, it is extremely hard for married women to continue their studies and pursue careers with a family to look after. 9-5 office jobs are not convenient nor working from home. I am just waiting for my kid to grow and go to school then tution so that I can get some time for my pursuits. ;-)
